Alesana is an American post-hardcore band that formed in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2004. The band's lineup consists of Shawn Milke (vocals, guitar, piano), Dennis Lee (vocals), Patrick Thompson (guitar), Jeremy Bryan (drums), Shane Crump (bass), and Jake Campbell (guitar). Alesana is known for their theatrical and conceptually driven music, often incorporating a narrative into their albums. They gained recognition with their debut EP "Try This With Your Eyes Closed" in 2005 and followed up with a series of full-length albums including "On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax," "Where Myth Fades to Legend," and "The Emptiness."
