Agent Orange is an American punk rock band formed in Orange County, California in 1979. The band is known for combining punk rock with surf music, and they are considered one of the first bands to do so, influencing many later surf punk bands. The original lineup consisted of Mike Palm on guitar and vocals, Steve Soto on bass, and Scott Miller on drums. They gained recognition for their debut album "Living In Darkness" released in 1981, which included the iconic track "Bloodstains." Over the years, Agent Orange has gone through several lineup changes with Palm being the constant member. Despite not achieving mainstream success, they have maintained a dedicated fan base and continue to tour. Their sound has been influential in the skate punk and surf punk subgenres, and they are often cited as an important part of the Southern California punk scene that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
