Angel Rat is the third studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Voïvod , released on November 11, 1991. It was their first album with new singer Denis "Snake" Bélanger, who replaced original singer Jean-Yves Thériault. The album was produced by Voïvod and Terry Brown. Angel Rat reached number 146 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold in Canada in February 1992. The album spawned two singles, "Angel Rat" and "The Prow". The album was generally well received by critics. AllMusic reviewer Eduardo Rivadavia gave the album 4.5 stars out of 5, stating that "Angel Rat is an album that Voïvod fans still consider their finest hour". He praised the "dense, muscular and ever-inventive" songwriting and called the album "groundbreaking for Canadian metal".
