It spawned the hits "Vertigo", "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own", "City of Blinding Lights", "All Because of You", "Love and Peace or Else" and "Window in the Skies". The album was met with mixed reviews from critics, who praised the band's ambition and musicianship but criticized its over-reliance on electronic effects. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
