The British magazine "Drowned In Sound" described the album's first starter, the song "Violins And Tambourines", as a string-laden "Bond Voyage" reminiscent of "Spanish Sahara". The other nine tracks on Stereophonics' eighth album, "Graffiti On The Train," are no less cinematic. Written by Kelly Jones and produced by Kelly Jones and Jim Lowe, the album is the final piece of the puzzle that shows the new face of the Welsh band. "Their most conventional album to date", at least according to the UK's "Sunday Times", lives on "a newfound lightness". Perhaps thanks to the strings, arranged by "James Bond" composer David Arnold. Kelly Jones, meanwhile, proves herself a gifted storyteller, creating characters with poetic subtlety. "When I went into the studio, I had 40 unfinished ideas rather than ten finished ones," Jones says of the songs' creation, which is part of why they're so unpredictable. Reviews , "Roll The Dice" surprises with a "Bolero"-like rhythm, the drama of "Violins And Tambourines" rises to James Bond levels, and the title track, a ballad drenched in the noble sound of strings, guarantees goosebumps.
