Smokie: Gold 1975-2015 (40th Anniversary Gold Edition) La version sur 2CD en Norme édition. Cette édition particulière a été publiée en L'Europe dans la maison d'édition Sony Music Le 7 avril 2015.
"In 1975, a white LP was released with the unmistakable 'Smokey' print. The world has been a different place since then, but the quality immediately sparked an outcry from similar artists and the foursome of musicians have had to carry on as 'Smokie' ever since. Moreover, it was a breakthrough into a breathtaking hit career that has supplied us with hits in uninterrupted succession. In Germany alone, classics such as "Alice", "Mexican Girl", "Needles And Pins" and others stayed on the charts for 419 (!!!) weeks. For the band's 40th anniversary, the first (!) "Best Of" album with original hits was released, covering all stages of Smokie. From the formation with Chris Norman, to the late Alan Barton, to the current line-up with Mike Craft. Among them of course the aforementioned chart hits, but also successes like "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" or the more recent singles "Rock 'N' Roll Rodeo" and "Sally's Song". Bonus features include rarities such as the first single released under the title Kindness, live moments, acoustic sets and highlights of the solo tracks. But all of this is easily overshadowed by the new 2015 Jay Frog & Amfree Remix and the 2 new tracks by Smokie and Chris Norman that are exclusive to this album." Review "All in all, a fine effort..."
