With Denmark's Robin Hannibal (Little Dragon, Kendrick Lamar) and Sweden's Ludwig Göransson (HAIM, Childish Gambino), she has always had two experienced producers by her side. From the not-quite-tangible feeling that all the tracks came out of a late-night jam session, and the architectural care of the compositions, the album makes an extraordinary whole. Selah Sue stays true to her unquenchable desire for music and manages to awaken a sense of light and dark with shimmering textures in all of us. She doesn't compromise, her heart is gritty, unsettling, enchanting. With her, even flowers have dark shadows.
