Remixing has always been a hobby for MOBY. In 1992 alone, he remixed bands ranging from the B52's, The Prodigy and Brian Eno to Jam & Spoon and Michael Jackson. He is drawn to cutting master tapes of artists to see how they compose their songs. Especially in the case of Michael Jackson's Beat It, which was produced by Quincy Jones at the time. Since then, his skills have been trusted by bands such as Aerosmith, The Beastie Boys, David Bowie and Metallica. On October 31, 2008, MOBY releases "Last Night Remixed", an album in which the hottest electronic artists of the current club scene once again run through the mixing board and reinterpret songs from his album "Last Night", which was released at the end of March 2008. In addition to Freemanson's remix of "Disco Lies," which has become a club anthem and a regular in the DJ sets of Pete Tong, Dave Spoon and Carl Cox, the album also features mixes from the Shapeshifters, General Midi, Kris Menace, Spencer & Hill and German electronic artist Tocadisco.
