'Above' is the only studio album they have recorded. It was released in March 1995 and features guest appearances by MARK LANEGAN . MAD SEASON is an English term for the time of year when psilocybin mushrooms are in full bloom, and a term McCready related to "the season of drinking and drug use". It's not so inappropriate given that the band formed after McCready and Saunders met in rehab. The album, a mix of melancholy ballads and hard rock, proved to be a certified gold hit: it just missed the top 20. Introducing one of the classics of the so-called "grunge" era.
