In addition to the Gellert Lieder and An die ferne Geliebte, the album also includes a selection of Beethoven's settings of Goethe's songs and songs set to poems by Matthisson and Sauter. The recordings, made in co-production with SWR, are accompanied by a 64-page bilingual booklet (EN, DE) with texts by Janis El-Bira, Thomas Seyboldt, an interview with the singer, the lyrics and Beethoven's sketch of Erlkönig, as well as photographs of the performers and a picture of the composer.
