Finnish hard rock and melodic heavy metal band LORDI was founded in 1992 by singer, composer, designer and costume designer Mr. Lordi. The band is known for their monstrous costumes and horror elements in their stage shows and music videos. With catchy songs and crushing riffs, the eerie lyrics burn themselves into the listener's brain whether you like it or not. LORDI's unabashed and unabashed combination of melodic 80's heavy metal and horror image instantly secured the attention of the rock world and fans of the genre worldwide. The band's live shows are renowned for their horror performances and bombastic use of pyrotechnics. LORDI participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and became the first and only Finnish group to win the contest, breaking all previous records for points in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The third album "The Arockalypse" was released in the same period, featuring contributions from band idols such as Udo Dirkschneider (Accept, U.D.O.), Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS), Dee Snider and Jay Jay French (Twisted Sister). The overwhelming success of the single "Hard Rock Hallelujah" on ESC brought LORDI unimaginable media attention, fan acclaim and success that opened a whole new door for the band. Sexorcism" was recorded at the legendary Finnvox Studios by Mikko Karmila, who also produced 2014's Scare Force One.
