Strength and fragility Eighteen years after their founding, Leprous are far from finished. On the contrary: The Norwegians have since gained a considerable reputation in the world of progressive metal, and rightly so, as their new album proves. "Pitfalls" is LP number six, the follow-up to 2017's "Raspberry", on which they recorded nine tracks that together last approximately 55 minutes. The band has once again ventured to Sweden's Ghostward Studios with producer David Castillo. For the subsequent mixing, Leprous brought in Adam Noble (Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves, Deaf Havana). The Norwegians have already revealed what the new album will sound like with the song "Below". And it shows: melancholy and emotion, power and fragility, progressive metal has rarely been as versatile as on Leprous' "Pitfalls".
