Over the next decade, the band became one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, selling more than 300 million albums worldwide. Their songs are among the most famous in the history of rock 'n' roll and continue to delight fans young and old around the world. On October 5, 1970, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant released the album "Led Zeppelin III" in the USA, followed a few weeks later by the UK and other countries. The band's third album in less than two years topped the charts in many countries including the US and the UK (it was third in Germany) and sold a total of 13 million copies worldwide. In addition to its stunning commercial success, the album also marked a musical turning point for Led Zeppelin, as they expanded their punchy sound to include a wider range of styles, which can be heard in acoustic tracks like "That's The Way", "Tangerine" and "Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp".
