A great compilation of 16 recordings from the famous "Louisianna Hayride" sessions from 1955 to 1962. A must-have for every Cash fan. In 1948, Henry Clay and Dean Upson, founders of the "Louisiana Hayride" radio show, took to the airwaves for the first time. Since then, the Saturday night show has aired weekly on American station KWKH and is not called "the cradle of stars" for nothing. Well-known musicians performed here long before their big break, introducing themselves first to regional and then national audiences. Musicians such as Elvis Presley (since 1954) and Charlie Monroe, Kitty Wells and Hank Williams have regularly performed at the Louisiana Hayride. One of the most famous guests (or members, as the radio show itself was called) is Johnny Cash. A large number of recordings of his songs were made between 1955 and 1962. Jambalaya compiled 16 songs here, including "I Walk The Line" and "Folsom Prison Blues".
