On the new album, the subjects of the new songs are once again his loved ones. "I called the album Songs for You, Truths for Me because I find it most apt. They are songs for my friend Gill, who I missed so much on tour, but also for other people. The song Love is Hard is one of three where the word love is in the title. I never thought I'd write it that way, but that's how I felt. This record is such a collection of truths that I realized last year."
