Nearly a decade after their breakthrough debut The Sickness, DISTURBED are considered one of the most passionate and respected bands on the rock scene. Their energy is still unbreakable and you can rely on their punchy riffs and uncompromising hardness in any situation. More than 9 million copies of their three multi-platinum albums have hit fans' players, and Believe and Ten Thousand Fists have topped the US Billboard charts. But success doesn't stop the foursome around screamer David Draiman from constantly seeking new adventures and dimensions for their music. So it was only a matter of time before they took the reins into their own hands and started producing their own albums. That's exactly what happened with the brand new Indestructible. "We've done three albums with Johnny K and we've learned an incredible amount," Draiman says of the seasoned producer, whose sound has been highlighted by The Sickness, Believe and Ten Thousand Fists. "And because we're always trying to evolve and experiment in every way, we wanted to do some things differently this time around," Donegan adds. According to Wengren, the band wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and "prove to ourselves and everyone else that we have what it takes." As a result, Indestructible, which DISTURBED recorded over three months in the fall of 2007 at Chicago's Groovemaster recording studios, became the darkest and most frantic album in the band's history. For after two and a half difficult years full of personal problems, Draiman announced to the band that he was fit for an internal cleansing. And thankfully, the band was fully on his side.
