These are reissues of the original LPs. "Dead Can Dance" is the debut album by the Australian musical group around Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard. It was originally released on February 27, 1984. The album also featured contributions from Paul Erikson, James Pinker, Peter Ulrich and Scott Rodger, who later replaced Erikson. Production was handled by John Fryer at Vineyard Studios. The combination of post-punk and gothic rock makes "Dead Can Dance" distinctly different from the band's later albums. As their career progressed, their music increasingly evolved towards darkwave and world music with influences from various ethnic musical styles as well as elements of neoclassical and medieval music. "Dead Can Dance" is the title of the band's debut album of the same name. Now this classic is finally available again on vinyl.
