Early days in the box In 2019, Parlophone is releasing a five-CD box set called Conversation Piece, which focuses on Bowie's early development between 1968 and 1969. Highlights of the box include home demos, BBC Radio Sessions and, fittingly for the 50th anniversary, a brand new 2019 mix of 'Space Oddity' by Toni Visconti. The latter has brought back the title track "Conversation Piece" from the box set to the tracklist of the new mix. The song was originally dropped from the original album due to time constraints. The box set also includes twelve previously unreleased tracks. "Conversation Piece" is accompanied by a 120-page hardcover book that includes memorabilia from the personal collection of Bowie's former manager Ken Pitt and the David Bowie archives. Cover notes were written by Bowie experts Mark Adams, Tris Penna and Kevin Cann. Bowie's longtime friend George Underwood, producer and friend Toni Visconti and others also contributed to the album.
