The time has come: three years after Working On A Dream, Bruce Springsteen releases his eagerly awaited new album Wrecking Ball. The seventeenth studio album in the legendary singer-songwriter's career was created in collaboration with producer Ron Aniello (Barenaked Ladies, Lifehouse and more) and features eleven new tracks. Springsteen's longtime manager Jon Landau took on the role of executive producer. Bruce has delved deep and now presents his vision of life today , explains Landau. The lyrics tell a story you won't hear anywhere else, and the music is the most innovative he's recorded in years. The songs are among the best of his career, and both longtime fans and new fans will find plenty to get their hearts racing at Wrecking Ball. The first single from the album is called "We Take Care Of Our Own". As part of an extensive US and European tour, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band will visit Germany for three concerts at the end of May 2012. Review. (Rolling Stone, March 2012) , "If you like Springsteen's Seeger Sessions or his guest appearances on the Dropkick Murphys' latest album, you'll be in for a treat with Wrecking Ball. No Heartland Rock'n'Roll, no Clarence Clemons saxophone (except on the last song), no E-Street Band. Instead of fiddles, marching drums, and Irish bagpipes, instead of a Victorian gospel choir, a marching band with timpani and flutes, all with lyrics not heard since The Ghost Of Tom Joad that are so bitter and accusatory." (Good Times, April/May 2012) , "The (union) boss seeking justice is back." (Stereoplay, April 2012) "On Wrecking Ball, he tells his favorite story: The America you actually love has failed you. (musikexpress, April 2012) , "No declaration of war, but no compromise either: Bruce Springsteen rediscovers his old strengths." (Audio, April 2012)
Album couvre tous les genres Folk Rock, Americana, Singer-Songwriter et Heartland Rock. 180g.
