"When I composed the song bury a friend, the whole album suddenly fell into place in my head," Billie explains. "I knew immediately what it was going to be about, what it was going to look like and how I wanted listeners to understand it. The title of the title single made me think of a theme: bury a friend is written from the perspective of the monster that resides under my bed - what would I do as this creature, what would I feel? I am my own self-confessed monster, and I am my own worst enemy. Billie Eilish is one of the most prolific and interesting artists currently, catapulted to where her debut Ocean Eyes has catapulted her. Billie has definitively conquered the pop frontline with her recent EP Don't Smile at Me, which has been on the Billboard 200 chart continuously for 18 months and has over 5 billion streams to date. Billie herself has nearly 3.5 million followers on Instagram, will be appearing at festivals like Lollapalooza and Summer Sonic this year, and will be supporting Florence and the Machine at some shows next year.
