Let's face it - the French chill-out masters Air have never had a problem mixing a sophisticated blend of mood-rock and pop for the soul. It starts with The Cure's "All Cats Are Grey" (from the beginning of their dark trilogy - Faith: Faith - Nothing Like Starting the Way You Want to Continue), it soon moves into even trippier territory with Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" (from their 1970 album Paranoid) and the ultra creepy "O Venezia, Venaga, Venusia" by Nino Rota (from the original soundtrack to the '76 art classic "Il Casanova di Fellini"), and then slowly but surely takes on tracks by The Band, Japan, Scott Walker and Lee Hazlewood. Melancholic and dreamy at the same time, you can be sure that this is no JLS band.
